A fond memory that I have at one point in my
life is during the early 90's. (I'm dating myself here) My family had a
mini farm it seemed. We had two adorable Black Labradors, two
bunnies, and two cats in which one cat gave birth to a litter of 5 kittens. There was so much love and affection of animals during that time. I truly miss it!
Congratulations! I'll be emailing you shortly!

I would buy some fabric and
make some burp cloths and blankets and donate them to the local pregnancy crisis
center where my friend volunteers. It would be wonderful to be able to pay it
Congrats Rachael, I will be emailing you shortly :) Thank you all for entering your awesome ideas of how to pay it forward to Parents and Babies in creative ways!

A little while back I was contacted by the folks over at Pampers to see if I'd be willing to be involved in their Little Miracle Mission. This mission is in honor of Pampers 50th Birthday and involves paying-it-forward and delivering random acts of kindness to bless new little miracles, mothers and parents.
So, let me get this right, you want to give me a $50 gift card to choose how I want to randomly bless some Mamas and babies? It's a no brainer, right?!?
I have a heart for lil wee babies and Mamas. Not only because I'm a Mama to two sweet babies, but also because it was a HUGE part of my life for a good eight or so years. Those lil wee babies and Mamas are what made my job as a high risk obstetrical and postpartum nurse so very important and special to me.
It took me awhile to figure out exactly what I wanted to do with my $50 American Express gift card...but it finally came to me:
You will soon see what this pile of cutie patootie fabric and knot pile of elastic will become. Until then...
I have good news! I KNOW you were thinking, "Huh, I'd love to be able to spend $50 any way I choose to bless a Mama and baby."
I was given ANOTHER $50 dollar American Express card from Pampers to give away to YOU, my dear readers, so that you too can be a part of the Little Miracle Mission Challenge!
To win: Enter a comment explaining how YOU personally would use a $50 American Express card to pay it forward and deliver a random act of kindness to a new little miracle, mother or parent.
There are so many needs in this world and I am looking forward to seeing what YOUR ideas are! I'll choose a winner on Tuesday, June 28th, based on... well, whatever idea I like the best :)
Check out the cutie babies on this 50th Celebration of Pampers Little Miracle Mission, found HERE. Look for the lil baby who smiles :) So cute!

I love me some tortilla chips and salsa. Crunch crunch crunch. YUMMO!
We had the opportunity to take my parents to a Chili's Restaurant on a recent trip and introduce them to one of our very favorite appetizers of all time:
It's 10 in the morning and that STILL looks delish. Yep, that is Chili's popular appetizer of fresh chips and salsa.
Did you know Chili's has revamped their menu? I revamp tshirts, they revamp food. Sounds good to me.
Now, I am not a culinary daring person. I like to order what I know I like. I usually order the Turkey Sandwich when I go to Chili's. However, I noticed that the bottom of the hoagie sandwich is usually kind of squishy and not so great. I still liked the sandwich, that part just always bugged me. So this time around I finally decided to try something new.
Flipped through the new menu and thought, "can't go wrong with a burger, right?" So we both ordered Burgers, I had the Avocado Burger and the hubby had the Shiner Bock BBQ Burger. Both are new on their menu and both are sooooo good.
The turkey sandwich standby has officially been replaced by the Avocado Burger. Because Avocado's? I could eat 5 a day, easy. Throw slices of delish avocado on a burger and you have some bites of awesomeness coming your way.
Go on, try out their new menu, I'm guessing you may also feel the need to replace your old standby order!
*Disclaimer* I was provided with a $50 gift card to sample the new Chili's Menu. The opinions are all mine.
